About Kutb

An Arabic-first path from learning to work

Kutb helps women build practical AI and emerging tech skills, show what they can do, and take real steps toward the work they want. This page explains the problem we set out to address, how our approach works, and the values that guide us.

Our mission

Our mission is to help 1 million women across the Middle East and North Africa start careers in emerging tech by 2030. Kutb is built for women and open to every ambitious learner aged 20 to 40. We are building our curriculum with employers and labor-market data, so every skill we teach is one the region is hiring for. You learn it in Arabic with NOOR, prove it in a verified Skills Passport, and connect with employers who need it.

The problem we address

Across the region, women are graduating in record numbers. In the UAE they are 70% of university graduates, and in Qatar about two in three. Yet the step from a degree to an AI-era job is still missing. In Saudi Arabia, unemployment among women is 10.3%, compared with 7.2% overall. Too much training isn't built around the jobs that actually exist, most of it isn't written for Arabic speakers, and certificates rarely show what someone can do. Kutb builds learning around real labor-market demand and connects it to proof and hiring, so skills turn into careers.

The talent is already here. Kutb builds the bridge from learning to work, shaped by the jobs the region needs, in a woman's own language.

How our approach works

Kutb is built around one connected idea: learn a skill, prove it through real work, and take an informed step toward being hired. A supportive guide named NOOR stays with the learner across all three.

  1. Learn

Follow a clear pathway of practical lessons in Arabic and English, at your own pace, with guidance that meets you where you are.

  2. Prove

Turn learning into evidence through activities and hands-on work, so capability is shown, not just claimed.

  3. Get hired

Build a profile that presents your skills and evidence clearly, then use it to move toward work that fits your growing capability.

What we value

These values shape the decisions we make and the way the platform is built.

  • Women-first

Kutb is designed first for women who want to build skills and move toward work, with respect for their goals, their privacy and their dignity.

  • Arabic-first

Every lesson, conversation and step is written for Arabic speakers, with full English alongside, so nothing important is lost in translation.

  • Built with the labor market

We shape our curriculum with employers and labor-market data, so learners spend their time on skills the region is actually hiring for.

  • Human oversight

People stay involved in guidance related to work. Recommendations that affect employment are reviewed by a person, not decided by software alone.

The people behind Kutb

Kutb is built by a team that cares about education, language, and responsible technology, and that works closely with learners rather than around them. We are deliberate about what we publish, so the claims on this website reflect what the platform genuinely does. As the team and its work grow, we will share more here in a way we can stand behind.
